Greg O’Gallagher Trains 3 Times Per Week, Kind Of.
Kinobody trains only 3 times per week because he believes that this is the optimal number of times to allow for muscle growth and recovery. Training more frequently than this can lead to overtraining and injuries. He also does a TON of walking as his main source of cardio.
How Often Does Kinobody Train Cardio?
Greg O’Gallagher preaches walking more than traditional cardio because it’s a great way to burn more fat while preserving muscle mass. He also believes that it’s a more efficient way to get in shape than spending hours on a treadmill or elliptical. You can listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and more while walking.
That being said, he also has a Cardio, Abs, & Mobility routine that he follows on top of his 3 training days.
It consists of:
- Ab Wheel Roll Outs or L Sits
- Leg Raise “Movements”
- Back Bridges
- L-Sit Hold
- Twist Hold
- Jumping Rope
- Walking outside or on a Treadmill
In reality, Greg preaches 3 weight training workouts per week and 2-3 ab/cardio days per week that are not on the same day as his weight training workouts.
He highly recommends walking over traditional cardio on those 2-3 days.
I hope this helps!
